Fremont Tugboat is located in Seattle, Washington and has been in business since 1915 providing tugboat service in Lake Union, Lake Washington and Puget Sound. We moor our tugs at our sister company, Fremont Boat Co., Inc. that has moorage for boats from 15’ to 90’ in Lake Union.
We operate smaller tugs and provide service 24 hours a day, seven days a week all year round. The tugs range in size from the 15 foot, 135 H.P. “Jeep” to the 51 foot, 500 H.P. “Dixie”.
We are known as the Mini-Tug Service. We tow vessels up to 250 feet; towing vessels in and out of dry docks, assist anyone that needs an extra tug, shift barges, pile drivers, crabbers, tenders, long-liners, fish processors, Navy ships, NOAA ships and all kinds of yachts. You name it, we have moved it. We also deliver hot tubs, floats and have a small barge (45x19’) to lease out.
We can pull you off a grounding or salvage a sunken boat with the supply of air bags and pumps we keep on hand. If you are in trouble, we can help you 24/7. We are noted for our fast ‘get underway time’. We all live near to our boats. Mark and Margie Freeman step out the door of their houseboat and get underway immediately with the “Jeep” which they commute to work in; Erik Freeman and Tom Bulson, who bought the towing company from Mark, both live in Ballard which is about ten minutes away. A real live person answers the phone and all of us carry cell phones, so contacting us is easy; so call us and let us save you money on your next job. |
